Reflecting on The Occurance at Owl Creek Bridge

      The Occurance at Owl Creek Bridge to me wasn't about the civil war at all instead only used that as a way to maintain  a steady base that is familar for most readers. What I focused on however was how (atleast to me) far ahead in thinking this story was. The plot is very new to that time period and I find it to be very exciting. The way the character had seen his entire life from the point of falling until escape only to find himself on the noose was exciting to me and caught me off guard which is not easy. The story seems original and to the point. There isn't to much more to say but i do have a new found respect for the auther.
