Reading response numero un

I just started the book Finding Fish by Antwone Fisher. I had finished my last book and needed something new to read so I am not very far at all. What I have read is that there is a black family that seems to be popular in their town. The family is both famous and infamous for various things. The mother is known for taking care of her own aswell as taking in kids and feeding them alongside her own. The son is known for going AWOL and has been dishonorably discharged.

This is what I imagined when I read about the place they lived

The Fear

The book I am now reading is Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson.
One could say that the book is about drugs and Las Vegas but it really isn't about much other than the author's experience with his Somoan attorney. The objective of the two men is always changing and I find it hard to believe in the validity of any of their endeavors. It seems like each new mission is an excuse to stay out and wasted. It is a miracal that the two aren't jailed whilst perusing the town. The destroy hotel rooms and are kicked out of almost everywhere they go and all there vast spends are on credit. This story is a trip to the side of  hallucinogens and mood altering drug abuse.
